Immanuel, God with us. Wow. Because Jesus came, as foretold hundreds of years earlier, we got to know so much more about God. It was the start of Christianity.
Though not so dramatic, the start of camp is when counselor and camper meet. They don’t have to wait for an activity to begin. As a matter of fact, the one-on-one time they have, that time of being in each others presence, is much of what camp is about.

We teach a small group philosophy. We want the camp counselor to be able to build a team. That team eats together, does challenging activities together and studies the Bible together. They come to know one another… and become a team.
