Fanny Cano Ramos
WHO I AM
My name is Fanny Cano. I am 29, married, and about to be a first-time mother. I was born in Cardenas, Tabasco in the south east of Mexico. I was born into a Christian family, but I met Jesus at the age of 19, the same age I went to a Christian camp for the first time. I wasn’t a camper, but a counselor. That experience changed me in so many ways. I was able to see others’ needs and I loved being able to talk about God openly with out any fears, at any time.
Christian Camps became my ministry after that first camp. I embraced so much the ministry that I became part of the youth group of leaders at my local church. I was able to put all my talents and skills to the service of God through camps.
I have volunteered with Camps International since 2008, in Morelia at Los Domos and also doing translation work while I earned my degree in Language. Translating has become an important part of camp ministry for me, and I am excited to be able to continue translating written and oral material for conferences, curriculums, and educational material.
